Stacking the Shelves #54 & #55

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tyngs's Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your  shelves, may they be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

We love sharing our books with you each week but more importantly we loving see what you add to your shelves. All links added here will take you to goodreads.

Sally's shelves

Some amazing books for me this week! I've been hearing about The Grisha series for a while so I finally decided to find out what it's all about.  The first two books I got this week then are Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo.  The next book I got this week was a recommendation that Lauren Kate made a little while ago. For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund is inspired by Persuasion by Jane Austen and I have to say I absolutely loved it! To give you better insight into the story it's best if you also read the prequel Among the Nameless Stars which is written from Kai's perspective and gives a good grounding for the main read.  The last book I got my hands on is the end of another series.  Elegy is the last book in the Hereafter series by Tara Hudson.  This is another of my most anticipated reads of 2013, but sad times are afoot as I wave goodbye to another fab series.

Bungle's shelves

The last 2 weeks I've not done too bad, well I did buy two books! I bought Selected Poems 1923-1958 by E.E. Cummings and Firelight by Sophie Jordan as I know she will be at Authors After Dark :) Over the last two weeks I've been sent four books for review which are, Haunted by William Hussey, Oliver and the Seawigs by Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre, the beautiful paperback edition of Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher and The Eye of Minds by James Dashner. All look brilliant and I cant wait to read them! Oh and not forgetting, I also got a copy of Goblin Fruit by Laini Taylor! I really can't wait to read this one, I love Laini's work!!!!

You'll be sure to love Shadow and Bone & Siege and Storm.
I want to read Elegy too. In fact, I peeked at the ending of Elegy and it was kind of a sad ending. ):
Enjoy all your lovely books! (:

Nice looking books. I have read the first two Grisha books and can't wait for the next. Since 2 hasn't been released yet, I do have a long wait.

If you get a chance, come see what I got this week at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!
